Saint Demetrius of Messolonghitranslated

The parish church of Agios Dimitrios, who is the patron saint of the village, dominates the rock-pillared hill of the Messolonghi Occupation. The church existed during the period of Turkish rule, but the exact date of its foundation is not known. But it was rebuilt after the revolution on March 25, 1849 during the reign of Vasileos Othonos as it is written on a marble slab.
