The traditional Cypriot wedding emerges as a collective celebration that unites families and the community, expressing solidarity, faith, wishes for a happy life and the deep connection of the Cypriot people with their cultural heritage. Folklorist-Researcher Stelios Chrysiliou and his Cultural group "Myrianthousa Cyprus" presented a representation of a traditional Cypriot Wedding as part of the program "PARISH in action..." of the Holy Church of Evangelistria Piraeus, on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The dances were supervised by Vassilis Georgopoulos.

The representation of the traditional Cypriot wedding by the group "Myrianthousa Cyprus" aims to preserve and spread the customs and traditions of Cyprus. These customs are an important part of the cultural heritage and are transmitted from generation to generation, keeping alive the roots and identity of Cypriot Hellenism. In the past, wedding events lasted more than a week and included many rituals, many of which have been abandoned over time.
