Awarding of scholarships to students from the "Dzaka Brothers" Foundation of the Diocese of Spartatranslated

The Holy Diocese of Monemvasia and Sparta proceeded in 2017 with the establishment and operation of yet another foundation, under the name "Ecclesiastical Foundation of brothers Panagiotou, Eleni and Chrysantho Tzakas from Kremastis" (Government Gazette 1869/B/30.5.2017). According to the Statute, the purposes of the Foundation, which is an independent Legal Entity of Private Law of a non-profit nature under the supervision of the Holy Metropolis, are:

a) the best use of the property and the management of the deposited money,

b) the support of a student of the School of Medicine or Dentistry and a candidate for clergy or student of the Theological or other Ecclesiastical School by donating a sum of money, the amount of which will be decided by the Board of Directors

c) the support of other students, orphans or children of large families or the needy, with various smaller amounts as long as the financial possibility exists.

In the context of serving the purposes of the Foundation, at noon on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the Board of Directors met in the office of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Monemvasia and Sparta Mr. Efstathiou.
