On the afternoon of Monday, October 26, 2026, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Maroneia and Komotini, Mr. Panteleimon, performed the service of the Consecration of the Thyranoixians in the Holy Chapel of Agios Dimitrios, which was recently renovated at the initiative of the Hellenic Mountaineering Association of Komotini. The chapel is located in the precincts of the "Charalambos Municipality" Mountaineering Refuge of the Hellenic Mountaineering Association of Komotini, in the "Guardian" position of the Rhodope mountain range, at an altitude of approximately 1,050 meters.

His Eminence addressed thanks and congratulations to the Members of the Association for the renovation of the chapel and wished God, with the embassies of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius of Myrovlytos, to bless their steps, grant them health, spiritual upliftment and safe excursions and ascents.
