Commemorative events for the 83rd anniversary of the Holocaust of Viannos and western Ierapetra in the presence of the PtDtranslated

With all solemnity and in an atmosphere of deep emotion, the commemorative events for the 83rd anniversary of the Holocaust of the villages of Viannos and western Ierapetra took place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Pandemotic Hero in Seli Amiron of the Municipality of Viannos, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Tasoula. On the Sunday morning before the Ascension, a High Priestly Divine Liturgy was held in the Holy Church of All Saints by Rev. Metropolitan of Didymoteicho, Orestias and Soufli Mr. Damascenes, with the prayers of Rev. Metropolitans of Arkalochori, Kastelli and Viannos Mr. Andreas and Mr. Kyrillos of Ierapytni and Sitia. Afterwards, in the same church, in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Konstantinos Tasoula, an official eulogy was held, presided over by Rev. Metropolitan Mr. Damaskinos and participants of Rev. Metropolitans Mr. Kirillos and Andreou. This was followed by the memorial service at the Hero's site by the above Reverend Metropolitans.
