On the morning of Saturday, July 25, 2026, on the feast day of Saint Anne, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Prodromos, went to the Holy Parish Church of Agios Mamandos, in the homonymous village of Mylopotamos, where he officiated during Orthros and celebrated the High Priestly Divine Liturgy, as well as the 40-day Holy Memorial of the Vicar of the Parish for many years, blessed Propriest Nikolaos Roussakis.

His Eminence, before the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, referred to the gifts and the valuable and multifaceted testimony and presence of the venerable Propriest Nikolaos Roussakis, despite the health problems and the difficulties he faced, and he always wished for our Holy Church to have dedicated priests, who will contribute, at all levels of life, to the unity and spiritual progress and advancement of our people.

The Member of Parliament of Rethymno Mr. Emmanuel Chnaris, the Thematic Deputy Regional Governor for Transport and Communications Mr. Michael Sarris and a large number of people were present, who honored the memory of the blessed Father Nikolaos.
