Dimitriados Ignatios: "The Christian family is the hope of the country and the Church"translated

With due splendor, our Local Church honored the memory of the great and people-loving Holy Martyr Paraskevi again this year. The center of the celebration was the homonymous Church of Volos, where on the eve of the holiday the Great Solemn Vespers was held, celebrating Rev. Metropolitan Dimitriados Mr. Ignatiou, in the presence of the Member of Parliament of Magnesia Ms. Zetta Makris, the Deputy Governor of Magnesia and Northern Sporades Mr. Anna-Maria Papadimitriou, members of the local government and a crowd of believers. In his sermon, His Holiness expressed his emotion for the people's eternal love for Agia Paraskevi, pointing out that "everyone's presence is a consolation, because it shows that, even in a difficult and secularized era, our people keep their faith and remain faithful to their traditions".

Then Rev. Ignatios referred to the announcement of the results of the Panhellenic Examinations, addressing words of love, consolation and encouragement, especially to the young people who did not achieve their goal or feel disappointed.
