Interestingly, Metropolitan Antony (Souri) and Metropolitan Niven (Saykali) concelebrated together with Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev) and Father Jeremiah (Azzam). You can see that this is an important holiday for our community in Lebanon. I wonder what this church looked like on that day.

It is interesting that Metropolitan Anthony (Suri) served together with Metropolitan Niven (Saikali) and Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev). Philip is in charge of our Russian parishes in Lebanon, so his participation is understandable. It’s a pity that they didn’t include a photo of the church that day; I would have liked to see how it was decorated for the Transfiguration.

Still, it is interesting that Metropolitan Antonius (Suri) and Niven (Saikali) served together with Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev). After all, Philip is responsible for the Russian churches in Lebanon and Syria, so his participation is logical. Unfortunately, no photo is attached, it would have been nice to see the interior of the church that day.

In Samara, on this holiday, apples are always blessed after the liturgy.

It’s interesting that Father Philip is from our Russian parishes in Lebanon. In New York, at Transfiguration, apples and grapes are always blessed after the liturgy, and my daughter then brings home a whole basket. And in Samara, after this, do you also consecrate honey or just fruits?

Yes, Father Philip is from the Russian parishes in Lebanon, we sometimes see him at such joint services. In Yekaterinburg, after the liturgy, apples and grapes are also blessed, and honey is usually blessed on the first day of the Savior, in August. Does your daughter always have a big basket in New York?
