Vilnius: Tamisou Panaretos at the event for the 35th anniversary of the independence of Moldovatranslated

On Thursday, September 17, 2026, the Most Reverend Bishop of Tamissou Mr. Panaretos, Patriarchal Exarch of Lithuania, at the invitation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova, attended the official reception organized in Vilnius by the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the country's independence. The event was attended by representatives of the state and local authorities of Lithuania, members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of the Moldovan community, the business world and social organizations, as well as other guests.

During his greeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Lithuania, Mr. Emil Druc, referred to the country's progress since its declaration of independence, to the consolidation of statehood and democratic institutions, as well as to Moldova's European perspective. At the same time, he underlined the close relations between Moldova and Lithuania and the support provided by Lithuania to the country's European path.
