Solemn Divine Liturgy at the Holy Monastery of Agios Panteleimonos in Aheratranslated

With special ecclesiastical splendor, the memory of the Holy Great Martyr and therapist Panteleimon was celebrated in the Holy Monastery of the same name in Aheras. The solemn Divine Liturgy was presided over by His Holiness Metropolitan Isaia of Tamasos and Orinis, who also addressed a paternal address to the faithful present.

In his speech, His Holiness referred to the luminous form of Saint Panteleimon, underlining that the Saint combined in a unique way the science of medicine with love for God and man. He emphasized that real healing is not limited to the body, but embraces the whole person, as God's grace primarily heals the soul and gives hope, peace and strength in trials.

Panierotatos also pointed out that Saint Panteleimon selflessly offered his services to the suffering, teaching that selfless love, service and sacrifice to fellow man are an authentic expression of the Christian life. He called on the faithful to trust God in difficulties, to cultivate a spirit of mercy and to become bearers of consolation and hope for those who are being tested.
