On Friday, October 9, 2026, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, Mr. Theofilos received the Secretary General of Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Georgios Kalantzis, who was accompanied by the director of his office, Mrs. Vasiliki Keramidas, and the Consul General of Greece in Jerusalem, Mr. Dimitrios Angelosopoulos.

His Beatitude warmly welcomed Mr. Kalantzis and praised his practical interest and firm support in matters concerning the Patriarchate of Jerusalem. He also made a special mention of his significant contribution to dealing with the problem that recently arose regarding the Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine on Mount Sinai.
