A milestone day for the Holy Metropolis of Edessa, Pelli and Almopia and also for the Orthodox Church was October 12, 2026, the eve of the feast and the day of the Repatriation of the Holy Relics of Saint Neomartyros Chrysis.

At 6 pm the official reception of the holy relics took place. First, the holy relics were received at the entrance of the village of Chrysi Almopia - place of origin and martyrdom of Agia Chryssi - by a holy procession of nuns with an honorary escort and carried them to the entrance of the holy parish church of Agia Chryssi. There they were welcomed by the Pastor of the First Metropolis of Edessa, Mr. Ioel, Rev. Metropolitan of Nafpaktos Mr. Ierotheos and the Theophilist Bishops of Glavinia Mr. Makarios, Mr. Christophoros of Amphipolis and Mr. Stefanos of Almopia accompanied by a large number of clergy from the I. Metropolis but also from various regions of Greece.

At Vespers, Rev. Metropolitan of Nafpaktos, who preached the divine word, referring to the saints and focusing on the faithful, that is, those who practically show their love for Christ and His saints.
