The icon of Agia Skepitranslated

August 1, 2026 · 1 min read

The historic church of Agia Skepi Ptolemais is a reference point for the residents. In 1940, with the start of the Greek-Italian war, the soldiers of Eridia gathered in it and started for the mountains of Pindos. The church houses the miraculous icon of Agia Skepi, which was painted in 1972 on Mount Athos. The tamas in the icon testify to the miracles of the Virgin Mary, especially to childless couples.
