On Sunday 11th of Matthew, August 16, 2026, but also Sunday after the feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as the feast of Agios Mandilios, Rev. Metropolitan of Symi, Mr. Chrysostomos officiated at Orthros and celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the parish I. Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos Symi. His co-celebrants were Fr. Antonios Manias, Vicar of the Parish and Hierodeacon Fr. Pavlos Terezakis, while the i. Analogue was ministered harmoniously by the Hieropsaltis Mr. Agapitos Michellis after Mr. Eleftherios Xirakis and Mr. Ioannou Mondanos.

A number of believers came to join the church, to whom His Holiness spoke with his direct theological discourse, taking the occasion of the Gospel reading of the parable of the unwashed servant, which brings us face to face with a mirror of our own spiritual situation. Christ tells us the story of a slave who owed his king the astronomical sum of ten thousand talents. Faced with his inability to pay, he knelt down, begged for mercy, and his master, out of love, forgave him all the debt. But, on his way out, the same man met a servant who owed him a trifling sum,…
