On the occasion of some articles published in various Serbian media (N1, Jugpress, Vranje News and others), regarding the allocation of funds from the Government of the Republic of Serbia to the Diocese of Vranje, in the amount of 72,000,000.00 dinars, the Diocese announces the following: The funds allocated to the Orthodox Diocese of Vrania are intended for the protection, restoration and reconstruction of the Old Monastery, or Monastery of Vranie, in the complex of the Monastery of Agios Prochoros Pchinski, which was built in the middle of the 19th century. "Vranski Konak" is a unique monument of Serbian folk architecture of that time, which goes beyond the borders of Serbia.

Since 1950, the Monastery of St. Prochorus Pčinski has the status of a cultural monument of exceptional importance and, therefore, enjoys the protection and support of the Republic of Serbia.
