Veroia Panteleimon: "Let us all realize that we are debtors to God"translated

On Sunday, August 16, 2026, in the morning, at the Panhellenic Holy Pilgrimage of Panagia Soumela, a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy was held, followed by a founding memorial service by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Berea, Naoussa and Campania, Mr. Panteleimon, who also preached the divine word. A procession followed at the graves of the owners. The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Velestinos, Mr. Damaskinos, was present as a co-prayer.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Special Forces General Vassilios Papadopoulos presented honorary plaques, on behalf of the Army General Staff, to the Professor of the Holy Monastery Archimandrite Panteleimon Papaemmanouil and to the President of the "Panagia Soumela" Association, Mr. Georgios Tanimanidis.

In his speech, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Berea, Naoussa and Campania, Mr. Panteleimon, referred to the duty of every person towards God to make use of the gifts, possibilities and gifts entrusted to him.
