Episcopal Ordination Anniversary of the Metropolitan of Aetolia and Acarnania Mr. Damascenestranslated

Four years will be completed on Friday, October 9, 2026, from the Episcopal Ordination of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Aetolia and Acarnania Mr. Damascenes, an anniversary that the local Church will honor with a focus on the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist.

In the Holy Metropolitan Church of Zoodochos Pigi Agrini, the Orthros service will be held (starting time 7:00') and the solemn High Priestly Divine Liturgy, presided over by our Reverend Pastor Mr. Damaskinos. This devotional meeting will be an opportunity for common prayer and spiritual joy, as the Bishop, the Holy Clergy and the People of our local Church will be together, around the common Table of the Holy Eucharist.

For the Orthodox Church, after all, the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist is the heart of church life and the preeminent place in which the unity of the Body of Christ is manifested. In the Eucharistic Assembly, the Bishop, as Minister and Pastor of the local Church, is called to minister to the unity of God's people and to walk with his flock on the path of faith and salvation.
