Multi-priestly Mass in historic Aghialos for the 120th anniversary of its burning A multi-priestly Mass was held yesterday, Thursday, July 30, at the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior in the city of Pomorie (historical Aghialos), prior of Rev. Metropolitan Dimitriados Mr. Ignatiou, co-officiating with the relevant Pastor, Rev. Metropolitan Sliven Mr. Arsenios and Theophilus. Bishop of Lefkoupoles Mr. Polykarpou. The Divine Liturgy was held in the context of the anniversary events for the 120th anniversary of the burning of Anchialos (July 30, 1906) and the first exodus of the inhabitants of the historic city, as a joint prayer meeting in memory of the victims and as a sign of respect for the historical memory of Anchialos.

Rev. Metropolitan Dimitriados was accompanied as a representative of Rev. Metropolitan of Polyani and Kilkisi, Mr. Bartholomew, the Archdeacon of the Holy Metropolis of Polyani and Kilkisi Arch. Epifanios Theodoridis, the Arch. Seraphim Kontaktsis and Prot. Ioannis Sotiropoulos.
