July 25, 2026 · 1 min read

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, commemoration of our holy mother Eupraxia, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Hydra, Spetses and Aegina, Mr. Ephraim officiated at the Holy Monastery of Panagia "Chrysoleontissa" of Aegina, on the occasion of the Naming of the Priestess of the Holy Monastery Gerontissa Eupraxia.

A crowd of believers flooded the I. Monastery while His Holiness preached the Th. Logos and wished Kathigoumeni all the best.

A festive treat followed.

Happy name day to Gerontissa Eupraxia! Must have been a full house at the monastery on Saturday, especially with the Metropolitan preaching and then the festive meal after. Nice to see so many faithful turning up for her.

Happy name day to Gerontissa Eupraxia indeed. The turnout sounded impressive for a July Saturday; I remember the last time I was at Chrysoleontissa the courtyard filled up fast even on a weekday. Did you manage to get there yourself, George?
