Lemnos Ierotheos: The ministry of the Church has no age limits – Handwritten by a Readertranslated

With ecclesiastical splendor and the participation of a large number of believers, the Solemn Vespers of the feast of Saint Demetrius the Great Martyr was celebrated in the Holy Church of Saint Demetrius Kontopoulios, on Sunday, October 25, 2026, presided over by Rev. Pastor, Metropolitan of Limnos and Agios Efstratios Mr. Ierotheos. During the holy service, His Eminence proceeded to the ordination as a Reader of the N.P. a fourteen-year-old student, who stands out for his love of the Greek language, his zeal for church life and his willing ministry in the sacred lectern.

With this act, as His Holiness emphasized in his sermon, the local Church honored the piety, philanthropy and offering of a child, recognizing at the same time that the ministry of the Church has no age limits, but is cultivated through love and devotion.

He also wished that other children with such gifts and essential qualifications would emerge as hope in society and for the new Reader to always love the word of God and to serve the Church with humility and consistency, being a bright example for his generation.
