Corfu: "Today, unnatural and sinful has been called natural life"translated

On Sunday, August 9, 2026, Matthew I, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Corfu, Paxos and Diapontian Islands, Mr. Nektarios, officiated and spoke at the Holy Pilgrimage of Saint and Wonderworker Spyridon, in the city of Corfu. Collaborating with His Eminence were the Most Reverend Archbishop Arciz, Mr. Victor, Vicar of the Metropolitan of Odyssos, Mr. Agathangelos, from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), the Most Reverend Preacher and Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Agios Theodoros Tironos and Georgios Tropaioforos Stratias, Archim. Christodoulos Trentafyllos, the Most Reverend Preacher of the Metropolis, Archim. Dositheos Papamitros, the head of the Holy Pilgrimage, Protopr. Georgios Vlachos, as well as the Deacons of His Eminence, Fr. Eusevios Pandis and Fr. Spyridon Pigis. It is worth noting that the Holy Church was overwhelmed by a multitude of believers, coming from various Orthodox countries, who flocked to Corfu to worship the miraculous apparition of Agios Spyridon, in view of the feast of August 11.
