Archpriestly memorial service of the Blessed Gerontissa Makaria at the Monastery of Panmegisto Taxiarchon Nea Epidaurustranslated

A memorial service for the two years since the death of Blessed Gerontisa Makaria was held today, Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Holy Monastery of Panmegisto Taxiarchos of Nea Epidaurus. After the Divine Liturgy which was celebrated by Elder Ephraim, the Prefect of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Argolis, Mr. Nektarios, performed the annual memorial service and spoke about the legacy left by the blessed old lady, who dedicated herself to Christ and His Church.

Elder Ephraim spoke about the personality of the Elder and the cultivation of brotherhood, while emphasizing the gifts of the monks that become stronger and more fruitful with obedience.

Afterwards, His Eminence the Metropolitan of Argolis and Elder Ephraim went to the tomb of the Blessed Gerontissa Makaria where they performed trisago.
