First celebration of Panagia Pantanassa in I.M. Kalamariatranslated

On the weekend of October 24 and 25, 2026, for the first time in the Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi in Nea Krini, the Synaxis of the Holy Icon of Panagia Pantanassi was celebrated, a true copy of which is kept in the aforementioned Holy Church. The copy of the Holy Icon was donated to the Church by the Professor of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, Elder Ephraim, and by the decision of the Reverend Pastor Mr. Ioustinos, it was decided that its Synaxis should be solemnly celebrated every last Sunday of October.

Thus, on the eve of the feast, the Solemn Vespers was celebrated, which was addressed by the Preacher of the Holy Synod, Archimandrite Bartholomeos Kotoulas.

On the day of the feast, the Solemnity Orthros and the High Priestly Divine Liturgy were celebrated, presided over by the Most Reverend Pastor, Metropolitan of Nea Krini and Kalamaria, Mr. Ioustinos, co-celebrating by the Church Priests and Deacons.

The ministry of the word, after the apostolic and gospel reading, was undertaken by the Reverend Mr. Iustinos, who interpreted Sunday's gospel passage, referring to the causes of demonic possession of people and the spiritual ways of protection and healing from demons.
