Florinis Irenaios from Amyntaio: "The true joy of the Christian is found near Christ"translated

The Most Reverend Metropolitan of Floris, Prespa and Eordaia Mr. Irenaios officiated at the Holy Church of the Ascension of the Lord of Workers' Housing Amyntaios, in the presence of a large number of believers from the parish and the wider area. During the Divine Liturgy, His Holiness preached the divine word, referring to the gospel reading of the day and the true joy of the Christian.

First, it referred to the seventy Apostles, who returned from their mission rejoicing, because even evil spirits were subject to the name of Christ. He explained that their joy came from the power they had been given and the success of their mission. He emphasized, however, that every gift is a gift from God and should not be a reason for pride, but for humility and gratitude.
