Happy Resurrection to the Church of Rwandatranslated

With Mack's blessing and relentless interest. Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa Theodorou, the General Assembly of the Holy Diocese of Kigali and Rwanda took place on 11/9 in Ramayana. The General Assembly was invited by the new Patriarchal Commissioner Theof. Bishop of Bukomba and Western Tanzania Mr. Chrysostomos and all the clergy and elected representatives of the Parishes participated and met at the Saint Augustine Hotel in Rwanagana.

The main purpose of the Assembly was to make a request to the Government to open the Churches of the Orthodox Church of Rwanda, which have been closed for two years.

At the beginning, the Bishop and president of the Assembly made a presentation.

After referring to the purpose of the Assembly, he expressed "his great anxiety, if God allows and the churches are opened, after two years without churches, without Divine Liturgy, will we find the Christians?"

Two years ago, 7 priests and 2 deacons were working in 15 Parishes. The 3 were built churches and the 12 were rented rooms, where Masses and Catechism were held.

Now only the one Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Reamagana will be opened. What will happen...
