On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the great Theotokos feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is celebrated and in the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis it is especially honored in the pheronymous Holy Churches of Anthia, Lefkimmi, the old Nipsa and Lakkoma in Samothrace. On the evening of the eve of the holiday, on Monday, September 7, 2026, the solemn Vespers was celebrated with bread baking in the above Holy Churches with the participation of residents and visitors of the settlements.

And on the day of the feast, on the morning of Tuesday, September 7, the response of the people in all the Churches of the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis was also great, honoring the great religious event of the Nativity of our Virgin Mary.
