Completion of the School of Parents of the Holy Metropolis of Rhodestranslated

The last meeting of the School of Parents of the Holy Diocese of Rhodes for the year 2025-2026, which took place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Holy Church of Agioi Anargyros of Rhodes, was completed with particular success and a large participation of parents. The keynote speaker was Ilias Liamis, Doctor of Theology, music educator and author. With an authentic, exciting and deeply human speech, Mr. Liamis analyzed the topic: "Social media: Addiction and spiritual coping". The Spiritual Proposal for Quality of Life: Mr. Liamis highlighted that the issue of digital dependency is not just technological, but primarily spiritual and existential. At the center of his speech was the Christian proposal for the quality of life, which is defined not as a hedonistic "well-being" and a search for our identity through the image that others have of us, but as a "in Christ" flourishing (well-living) based on a personal relationship with God and fellow man, as well as on the awareness of our wonderful potential and our destiny, as images of God.
