Patriarch Daniel to American Diplomats: The Church of Romania prays for a just solution in Ukrainetranslated

The complex and tense geopolitical and religious situation in various regions of the world, including the armed conflict in Romania's neighborhood, was the focus of the discussion held today, Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Patriarchal Residence in Bucharest by the Patriarch of Romania, Mr. Daniel and the Special Purpose Ambassador for International Religious Freedom at the United States Department of State and Deputy Secretary of the Office for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, Mr. Riley Burns.
