October 4, 2026 · 1 min read

In an atmosphere of joy, elation and obvious satisfaction, the Consecration took place for the start of the Byzantine and Traditional Music Courses at the Cross of the Municipality of Volvi and in fact in the Multipurpose Hall of the under reconstruction Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi, on the afternoon of Friday October 2, 2026. Men, women and children participated from all three Parishes of the Cross, that is Agia Paraskevi, Agios Auxentios Kato Stavros and Agios Dimitrios Ano Stavros and from the towns close to the Cross.

The Consecration was presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Ierissos, Mount Athos and Ardameri Mr. Theoklitos, flanked by the Pan. Chief Fr. Iakovos Makri, Fr. Chrysantho Savvidis, Fr. Ephraim Tsolis and Fr. Nikodimos Kotinoudis, as well as Rev. Father Konstantinos Isaakidis.

The attendance was large and completely satisfied the Holy Metropolis and especially His Eminence who chose as teacher of paternal music the Lord Cantor of the Holy Church of God Sophia of Thessaloniki, Mr. Stylianos Zachariou.

His Holiness expressed his wishes for the success of this philanthropic project, which will bear fruit at harvest time.

Thanks and…
