Visit of the Penitologist Athanasios Kehagioglou to the Metropolis of Swedentranslated

On the occasion of his professional engagement at the Courts of Stockholm, on Friday, September 11, 2026, the distinguished Penitologist from Athens, His Eminence Mr. Athanasios Kehagioglou, Arch Protector of the Ecumenical Throne and Arch Grand Logothetes of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa, accompanied by his associate Lawyer Mr. Michalis Anastasopoulos, visited the seat of the Holy Metropolis of Sweden and all Scandinavia, in Stockholm. The distinguished guests were guided through the facilities of the historic St. George's Cathedral in Stockholm and were informed about the history of the Church, as well as the pastoral, missionary and cultural work of the Holy Metropolis in the Scandinavian countries.

Afterwards, at the Museum of Greek Christian Heritage, they met with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Sweden, Mr. Cleopas, and the Theophilus Bishop of Elia, Mr. Bartholomew, with whom they had a cordial and constructive conversation.
