This year I will also try the 6.5 km from Volissos, because the road to Agia Markella is beautiful and quiet. I ran the short stretch once with my older boy two years ago and really enjoyed it. Who knows, maybe we'll see you at the start on July 30.

I'm glad that this race is being held again. Last year I went with my husband to Agia Markella on foot, on the same road, and it seemed very peaceful, exactly as Vasile says. Maybe I'll try the 1.5 km too, because 6.5 seems a bit much for my knees.

Good idea, the road from Volissos to Agia Markella is really quiet. Last year I walked the same 6.5 km when I was in Chios with my daughter, and my knees ached for two days. Maybe some of our people will go in 2026, I wonder how things are with registration for foreigners.

Yes, the road there is really calm, almost without cars. Last year I also walked these 6.5 km from Volissos, only in the opposite direction, and my knees hurt for a week afterwards. And the announcement doesn’t say anything about registration for foreigners, maybe you can clarify in the application itself on the SEGAS website?
