Apostolic Reading on Sunday, November 8, 2026 – Of the Archangelstranslated

November 8, 2026 · 1 min read

Apostolic Reading on Sunday, November 8, 2026, of the Archangels (Heb. ii. 2-10) Brethren, if a word spoken through angels proved to be firm, and every transgression and disobedience received its just recompense, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? Which having been first put forward by the Lord, was testified to us by those who heard, by God’s works, by signs and wonders, by the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His will. For He did not subject the world to come, concerning which we are speaking, to the angels, but someone testified saying, “What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You visit him? You have made him a little lower than the angels, You crown him with glory and honor, You have put all things in subjection under his feet—For in putting all things in subjection to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not see all things put in subjection to him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for a short time, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting that He, for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.
