The celebration of October 28 in Lamiatranslated

With non-stop and torrential rain was celebrated in the Capital of Roumeli, Lamia, the double feast, Mother of God of Agia Skepi and National of the Anniversary of the NO of October 28, 1940 centered on the Holy Metropolitan and Cathedral Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos Lamia, and the blessed presence of the section of the Holy Relic of the Holy Hand of Evangelist Luke, Patron Saint of Lamia, in the context of the 6th Litany of Pamphitos.  On the eve of the Feast, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Fthiotidos, Mr. Simeon officiated at the Great High Priestly Vespers, flanked by priests from both the city and other High Priestly Regions. In his sermon, the Most Reverend Mr. Simeon referred to the Virgin Mary as the foundation of the believers' spiritual edifice, the "temple of the Holy Spirit", which is the existence every human being.

On Wednesday morning, the Reverend Mr. Simeon performed the High Priestly Divine Liturgy and then the official Doxology of the National Anniversary of NOHI in the presence of the political, institutional and military leadership of the place, as well as the General Secretary of Public Order, Mr. Panagiotis Stathis as the representative of the Greek Government.
