Discussion in "PARISH in action...": "In the Kykeona of transgressions looking people in the eye"translated

Truly dealing with delinquency requires more than punishment. It needs education, professional rehabilitation, social acceptance, protection of children, substantial pastoral care and active participation of society. An event - discussion, in the context of the "Free dialogues" series, of the "PARISH in action..." program, of the Evangelist Church of Piraeus, took place on Friday, October 9, at the Spiritual Center of the Church.

The topic of the discussion was: "In the Cykeon of transgressions looking people in the eye" and the participants were Fr. Dimitrios Linos, Professor of Surgery, Director of Surgery of the HYGEIA Group and a volunteer Priest, Fr. Kornarakis, Professor of Christian Ethics and Bioethics at the Department of Theology of the EKPA.

The discussion focused on the lives of prisoners, the causes that lead a person to delinquency and the possibility of meaningful reintegration into society. The central question was how society, the Church and every citizen can stand by the people...
