Veroia Panteleimon: We turn to the Blessed Virgin because we trust in her weak powertranslated

On the afternoon of Monday, August 3, the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Veroia, Naoussa and Campania Mr. Panteleimon officiated at Vespers and the Little Prayer of the Blessed Virgin Mary and preached the divine word in the Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Diocese. His Excellency's Speech:

"That after God we all take refuge in You".

We also repeat a heartfelt confession of the holy hymn writer by singing every afternoon of the Fifteenth of August, either the Little or the Great Prayer to the Virgin Mary, our mother and Mother of our Lord.

What do we confess? We confess that the Holy Mother of God is, after God, our second refuge. He is the holy person to whom we rush in every need and in every difficulty we encounter in our life in order to find help, support, consolation and salvation.

And it is natural for us Christians to take refuge in the Lady Theotokos, because for us she is a mother, a spiritual mother. And just as every child turns to its natural, carnal mother, so we also turn to our Virgin Mary.
