With the blessing of the Church, the sports year of the HEFAESTOS Limnos group begantranslated

With the consecration ceremony, the new sports year began for the basketball and volleyball sections of the HEFAESTOS Limnos Sports Club. On Saturday afternoon, 26.9.2026, the NIKOS SAMARAS Myrina indoor gym was filled with the children and young basketball players of Hephaistos, the coaches, parents and people of the Association, creating the beautiful image of a big family, which met to start another creative sports season.

The consecration was performed by the Reverend Pastor, Metropolitan of Limnos and Agios Efstratiou, Mr. Ierotheos, together with the head of the Youth Office Protopresbyter, Fr. Anastasios Sargentis and the Deacon, Fr. Panteleimon Karabinis, and wished all the children health, strength, progress and good success in their competitive efforts.

In his short greeting, His Eminence emphasized that sports, in addition to exercising the body and cultivating competitive skills, is an important area for the education of young people.
