The reception of the "Flame of Love" in Agia Fotini Ierapetra for the 24th Panhellenic Torch Run of Voluntary Blood Donorstranslated

On the evening of Thursday, September 10, 2026, the reception of the "Flame of Love" took place in the courtyard of the Holy Cathedral of Agia Foteini Ierapetra, in the context of the 24th Panhellenic Torch Run of Voluntary Blood Donors, organized by the Panhellenic Federation of Voluntary Blood Donor Associations, under the auspices of National Blood Donation Center, K.E.D.E. and the Parliament of the Hellenes. The flame was carried to Ierapetra by the representative of the Panhellenic Federation of Voluntary Blood Donor Associations (P.O.S.E.A.) and President of the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors of Chania Prefecture "Agios Ioannis", Ms. Despoina Rodousaki, who emphasized that the aim is to raise public awareness of voluntary blood donation, so that our country becomes self-sufficient in voluntarily donated blood.

The flame was received by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Ierapytni and Sitia Mr. Kyrillos, the Vice-President of the Parliament of the Hellenes and Member of Parliament of Lasithi Mr. Ioannis Plakiotakis and the Mayor of Ierapetra Mr. Emmanuel Fragoulis.
