What kind of headline is so cheap? Instead of writing about the case, the person was immediately registered as “epideixia”. It could have been normal without these cheap hints.

I agree, the headline is just like in the tabloids. A person is either guilty of the case or not - and then the label “epideixia” is immediately slapped on so that people will click on it. It was possible to do without this circus.

This article with the title is indeed yellow. If he has information about the metropolitan, let him write it plainly, not with a "heavy resume ... ostentation" as if we were selling a newspaper at the newsstand. We don't deserve this level.

The headline's pure clickbait. They could've laid out the actual facts about the metropolitan instead of slapping on that "heavy resume... exhibitionist" nonsense to get the clicks. Same cheap trick you see in the tabloids at the corner store.

Ruth Thomas
The headline does feel like pure tabloid bait. I looked up the actual story and the facts seem a lot more about poor judgment than anything sensational. Have you seen any follow-up reporting that sticks to the details without the drama?

I agree with Ruth and Thomas – the headline is pure tabloid stuff, like something you'd see at the corner store. The facts sound more like bad judgment than anything dramatic, so why slap on that "heavy resume exhibitionist" nonsense? Just report what happened and let people decide.

This title is a bit sensational, like the corner kiosk. If they have facts about the metropolitan, it's better to write them clearly, not with "difficult biography... exhibitionist" to get clicks. I read the story too, it seems more like bad judgment than anything else.

This title is really sensational, like the corner kiosk. If they have concrete facts about the metropolitan, it's better to write them clearly, not with "difficult biography... exhibitionist" to get clicks. I read what Ruth said too, it seems more like bad judgment than anything else.

Simona Ciobanu
Yes, the title is clearly made to attract the eye, like the scandal newspapers of old. Ruth seems to be exaggerating some normal gestures from a visiting bishop, but I still wonder if someone really felt awkward there. Did you also see that picture of him at the party or did you just read the text?
S
Samuel Collins
Yeah, it's the classic "shock word in the headline" move to get people clicking. The actual story seems more like a case of bad decisions than anything dramatic. Have you come across any solid follow-up that cuts through the hype?
