The Deputy Minister of Macedonia and Thrace Kostas Giulekas to the Archbishop of Albania Ioannistranslated

The Archbishop of Tirana, Durres and all of Albania etc. Ioannis was visited by the Deputy Minister of Interior (Macedonia and Thrace) Kostas Giulekas. During the meeting they discussed Greece's interest in Albania. Mr. Giulekas pointed out that Greece supports the accession of Albania to the European Union and sets as a condition the protection of the rights of the ethnic Greek minority.

The Archbishop mentioned the role of the Orthodox Church in Albania, as well as the work of his predecessor Anastasios and the legacy he left.

Also present at the meeting was the ambassador of Greece in Tirana, Lambrini Komini.
