News report of the young Jesuits of Bukombatranslated

A day of joy for the Diocese of Bukomba and the APOSTOLIC AND EVANGELIST MARKOS Priestly School for the ordination of 12 new seminarians. On Sunday, October 18, the ceremony of the new students of the Priestly School APOSTOLES AND EVANGELISTS MARKOS was held by Theof. Bishop of Bukomba Mr. Chrysostomos at the Church of the Annunciation during the Divine Liturgy.

During the ordination, the Bishop praised the young people "who long to wear the holy priesthood" and welcomed them to the Priestly School. He wished them "good progress and that they deserve to serve God and the Church".

In the afternoon a celebratory welcome event was organized, where they chanted, sang and expressed the purposes of their studies.

The Bishop in his greeting focused on three concepts Apostles, Church, Mission. "Here you will be prepared for the priesthood, which is the continuation of the work of the Apostles. With the mission you will lead souls to the Church, which is the ark of salvation."

It is the sixth year this year that the School has been operating with the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch Mr. Theodoros, who in 2020 performed the opening ceremony of the School.
