Philotheus of Thessaloniki to pilgrims from Aleppo, Syria: Wish for peace to prevail in the Middle East as soon as possibletranslated

On Wednesday, September 16, the Pastor, Metropolitan of Thessaloniki, Mr. Philotheos, met with pilgrims from Aleppo, Syria, at the Holy Church of Agios Dimitrios - Poliuchou. Our orthodox brothers were accompanied on their pilgrimage by the Metropolitan of Aleppo Mr. Ephraim. Our Bishop expressed his joy for the meeting and the coming of our brothers from the long-suffering city of Aleppo to the city of Agios Dimitrios.

The Pastor wished for peace to prevail in the Middle East region as soon as possible.

At the end of the meeting, the Metropolitan offered the pious pilgrims from Syria blessings from the Church of Saint Demetrius as souvenirs of their pilgrimage to Thessaloniki.
