A scientific conference on Artificial Intelligence was held on the evening of Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the Spiritual Center of the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis, under the auspices of the Command of the 12th Infantry Division. The topic of the conference was about the development of technology and how it affects society and, above all, the Armed Forces, with the interest if it focuses on Artificial Intelligence, which has been particularly talked about in recent years. The aim of the event was to highlight the possibilities, challenges and risks that accompany the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence in critical areas such as everyday life, education, health and security.

Metropolitan Mr. Anthimos was among the speakers, with the topic of his talk being "God's algorithm and the soul of AI." Pastor Mr. Anthimos had the opportunity to present the perspective of the Church towards a challenge, which increasingly concerns the daily life of citizens and, of course, believers, creating questions and concerns that demand answers, in the light of the teaching of the Gospel and the texts of the Holy Fathers.
