Karditsa: Sanctification at the School of Byzantine Music "Agios Ioannis o Damaskinos"translated

The consecration ceremony for the start of the classes of the School of Byzantine Music "St. John the Damascene" of our Holy Metropolis was performed on the afternoon of Thursday, October 22, 2026 by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon, Mr. Timotheus, in the hall of the Spiritual Center of the Holy Metropolis, in Karditsa. His Eminence's communication with the students was particularly lively, as he wanted to hear them talk about the reasons that led them to Byzantine Music and about the feelings that their engagement with it generates. Through their answers, the search for inner peace and the desire to contribute to the Church, helping at the sacred lectern, was highlighted.

The Metropolitan listened with interest to the young students and, on the occasion of their positions, developed the importance of chanting as a spiritual work, which combines musical cultivation with a deeper knowledge of the faith and participation in the liturgical life of the Church
