Musical theater performance by I.M. Kifisias dedicated to the person of Panagiatranslated

Held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, in the afternoon, at the Indoor Gymnasium of G.S. Oropou, a musical theater performance dedicated to the Face of the Virgin Mary, in the presence of His Eminence the Metropolitan of Kifissia, Amarousi, Oropou and Mr. Kyrillo Marathon. The Event was co-organized by the Holy Metropolis, the Youth Office, the School of Byzantine and Traditional Music of the Holy Metropolis and the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Oropos

Also present were the General Hierarchical Commissioner Fr. Christos Kyriakopoulos, the Hierarchical Commissioners of Amarousiou, Pefkis-Metamorfosis, Oropou-Kapandritiou, many clergy and a crowd of people.

At the beginning of the Event, a minute's silence was observed as a minimal sign of respect and participation in the mourning for the sudden sleep of the student of GE Oropou Zoi Athanasopoulos.

Afterwards, the Reverend Pastor took the floor, who at the beginning of his speech referred to the Person of Our Lady, who followed the refugees on the martyrdom road of the exodus, but also to the fact that our entire homeland is scattered with Holy Images of the Virgin that save even in their names the memory of the forgotten homelands.…
