Archbishop's visit to Thessaloniki for the celebration of Saint Demetrius and the anniversary eventstranslated

His Beatitude the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Mr. Hieronymos will visit Thessaloniki from October 26 to 28, 2026, in order to participate in the events in honor of the city's Patron Saint, Saint Demetrius, as well as the celebrations of the 114th anniversary of the liberation of Thessaloniki and the National Anniversary of October 28. On Monday, October 26, His Beatitude will attend the Solemn Multi-priestly Mass at the Pilgrimage Church of Agios Dimitrios, while at 11:00 he will preside over the official Doxology for the liberation of the city.

On the evening of Tuesday, October 27, at 7:00 p.m., the Archbishop will address the musical event that will be held at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, on the occasion of the completion of ten years since the restoration of the Holy Tomb of the Holy Sepulcher.

The Archbishop's program in Thessaloniki will conclude on Wednesday, October 28, at 11:00, with his presence at the large military parade on Megalo Alexandrou Avenue, as part of the celebration of the National Anniversary.
