Consecration of the Conservatory of I.M. Fthiotidos in Kastoriatranslated

With spiritual joy, emotion and particularly warm participation, the one-day pilgrimage of the Conservatory of the Holy Metropolis of Fthiotidos "GERMANOS o MELODOS" took place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, in Kastoria and the wider region of Western Macedonia, led by His Eminence Metropolitan Fthiotidos Mr. Simeon. The excursion combined the pilgrimage experience with getting to know important Byzantine monuments and the ecclesiastical and cultural tradition of Macedonia.

The first stop was the historic Monastery of the Assumption of the Virgin in Mikrokastro, where the Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Simeon and the pilgrims were received with great love by the Professor, Gerontissa Theologia, and the brotherhood of the Monastery.

In the Catholic Church, a High Priestly Divine Liturgy was celebrated by our Pastor, Metropolitan Fthiotidos Mr. Simeon, following the normal permission and blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Sisaniou and Siatist Mr. Athanasios, during which a choir of nuns sang melodious hymns, under the guidance of Gerontissa Theology, creating a particularly overwhelming atmosphere.
