Baths of Edipsos: Vigil of Saint Mary Magdalene before the Holy Icon of Panagia Faneromenitranslated

On Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the Orthros and the Solemn Liturgy were held in front of the miraculous Holy Icon of Panagia Faneromeni, which is hosted in the Holy Church of Agios Panteleimon Loutra Edipsos, on the occasion of the holy memory of Saint Myrobearer and Isopostolo Mary Magdalene and Saint Markella the Great Martyr. The Divine Liturgy was presided over and officiated by the Cross Steward Fr. Ioannis Seferis, Vicar of the Parish of Farakla - Tsoukas.

Mr. Dimitrios Kourpadakis & Reader Thomas Handzis ministered reverently at the holy lectern, rendering the holy hymns of the day with ecclesiastical order.

During his short sermon, Father Ioannis referred to the loving intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos towards our Lord and God, underlining that the Virgin Mary is a sleepless ambassador and refuge of every believer, leading everyone with motherly love to Christ.

The Vicar of the Holy Church Fr. Nikolaos and Fr. Christos were present praying at the Holy Altar, participating prayerfully in the Holy Service.
