Archbishop of Cyprus: Tychikos has 10 days to meet before the Holy Synod makes decisionstranslated

Archbishop George gives a deadline of ten days to Bishop Tychikos, who is on holiday, before the Holy Synod convenes to make decisions concerning him.
The Archbishop stated that, despite his request for a meeting, the former Metropolitan of Paphos has not yet contacted the Archdiocese, stressing that it is not possible for him not to be accountable to anyone.
At the same time, he criticized the attitude of Tychikos, pointing out that it is not possible for him to cite health reasons for his absence from a session of the Holy Synod and the next day to travel from Greece to Cyprus.
Asked to comment on information about an attempt to establish a new Church in Cyprus, he made it clear that there is no suitable ground for such an undertaking.
The Archbishop also warned the faithful about the performance of religious sacraments in private homes by a deposed cleric, stressing that these ceremonies do not have the blessing of the Church.
The statements were made on the sidelines of the memorial service of the blessed Archbishop Chrysostom II.
