Elder Alexios Xenofontinos: "Everything we did from 1976 until today was a ministry of love and faith"translated

The Brotherhood of the Holy Monastery of Saint Xenophon is organizing today, Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Athens Concert Hall, the event "En hinpnevmati". The occasion is the completion of fifty years since its abandonment, from Meteora to Mount Athos, and the enthronement of Archimandrite Alexios as Professor, in October 1976. Entry for the public will be free.

Professor Archimandrite Alexios makes special reference to the fiftieth anniversary of the abandonment of the Brotherhood from Meteora to Mount Athos in an interview he gave exclusively to APE-MPE and Eleni Machira:

"For our fraternity, this fiftieth anniversary is an occasion of praise and gratitude to God and the Superior of our Monastery, Our Lady Odegitria, for their many benefits, which we have richly enjoyed. But, it is also an opportunity to express our thanks and to honor all those who supported us and helped us in our spiritual work", he points out.
