Arta celebrates the transfer of the holy relic of Saint Maximus the Greektranslated

In the Holy Church of Agios Maximos the Greek in the city of Arta, celebrations will be held on the occasion of the anniversary of the transfer of the Holy Relic of Agios Maximos the Greek, as well as the reception of the miraculous Holy Icon of Agios Fanourios, which is being transferred from Rhodes, where it was found. On Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., the official reception of the miraculous Holy Icon of Agios Fanourios will take place and then the Great High Priestly Vespers will be held, during which the Most Reverend Bishop of Kernitsa, Mr. Chrysanthos, will officiate.

After the end of Vespers, there will be a procession of the Holy Icons of Agios Maximos the Greek and Agios Fanourios, in the area of ​​the Triangle.

On Monday, October 12, 2026, at 7 o'clock in the morning, the Orthros will be celebrated and then the Polyhieratic Divine Liturgy, in which the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Patras Mr. Chrysostomos will preside.
